Kansas DOT Hwy 75

In
July, 2000, Jensen Construction Company was awarded an $ 11,471,000 project to
construct a new bridge on Highway 75 over the Kansas River in Topeka, Kansas.
The project required Jensen to remove the existing structure down to water level
and then to build the new structure utilizing the remaining substructure along
with new drilled shaft foundations. The new 11-span superstructure is 1760
foot long and is supported on steel plate girders. The project was
successfully completed in the spring of 2002.
