Arkansas
State Highway 64 at White River

In
February, 1999, Jensen Construction Company was awarded a $17,629,000 project to
construct the new Highway 64 bridge over the White River and remove the existing
truss bridge in Augusta, Arkansas. The project included the construction
of a 3155 foot long bridge. The bridge has two large river piers and
twenty six approach piers all supported on piling. The two river
piers were constructed in 40 foot wide by 80 foot long and 70 foot deep
cofferdams. The project was successfully completed three years later in
the spring of 2002.
