The purpose of this project is to construct seven bridge structures and rubblize and resurface west of the I-430 interchange and also to reconstruct 6.375 miles of I-40 northwest of North Little Rock in Pulaski County with an additional lane in both directions east of the I-430 interchange. This project consists of earthwork, aggregate base course, asphalt concrete hot mix base, rail, wire fence, concrete barrier walls, minor drainage structures, six main lane bridges, one overpass bridge, erosion control items, maintenance of traffic and misc. items.  The bridges include 3900 LF of drilled shafts ranging in size from 36" to 108" diameter, 8,280,000 lbs of structural steel and 12,350 CY of concrete.

 

This is the largest highway project ever awarded in the state of Arkansas.
