Job Title: Bridge Superintendent Department: Jensen Construction Company - South Division Reports To: Operation Manager - Tulsa Office Managers FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary
Monitors, maintains, and directs all activities within a given jobsite by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Study specifications and plans, procedures, starting and completion times to determine staffing and equipment requirements for each phase of construction.
Oversee and direct exempt and non-exempt jobsite personnel engaged in constructing the work.
Coordinate project personnel and resources to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
Coordinate with the field engineer for various construction needs so that tools, equipment, and materials can be delivered to the job in a timely manner.
Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to the plans and specifications
Inspect construction site and direct as necessary to ensure that Jensen safety requirements are being adhered to.
Maintain effective communication and coordination between Jensen and the project owner.
Keep the Tulsa office apprised of the current situation and to help identify, mitigate and/or resolve jobsite problems.
Identify the construction methods which will be utilized on the project for the various portions of the structure, and communicate these to the project engineer.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
10 to 15 years of experience in highway and heavy construction with a substantial amount of that time in bridge construction. Candidate must have been in a supervisory position with a highway and/or heavy contractor for a minimum of 5 years. Experience in marine construction, and a 2 or 4 year degree in Engineering or Construction Management is helpful.
