Job Title: Bridge Foreman Department: Jensen Construction Company - South Division Reports To: Job Superintendent FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary
Directs construction, and assists in building portions of a bridge project by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build the assigned portion of the bridge in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Direct hourly personnel which make up his/her crew.
Communicate various construction needs to the Superintendent so that tools, equipment, and materials can be provided in a timely manner.
Maintain the proper safety requirements for his/her crew, and advise others if an unsafe condition is observed on the site.
Read and understand bridge plans and specifications.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 5-10 employees on a bridge crew. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
5 years prior experience in the bridge construction market and at least 1 year previous experience as a foreman for a bridge contractor. Those who have successfully completed at least 2 summer internships with Jensen Construction Company may be eligible depending on work performance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
